Question - Do I need to get my brokerage account approved for trading
options?
Answer - Yes. Your brokerage
firm will require you to fill out a specific and separate
application form before they will approve you for trading
"Long Calls" and "Long Puts". In this application, before you
are approved, most brokerage firm will require you to
demonstrate that you have (1) a high risk trading strategy
like speculative, (2) several years experience in trading
stock options, and (3) a total net worth of at least $50,000.
